NJASCD Executive Director
Marie Adair
 

    Marie is currently the Executive Director of the New Jersey Association for Supervision and
Curriculum Development.  As executive director, she leads an organization of diverse educational leaders who are committed to promoting excellence in the learning community.
 
      Marie is the former Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction in the Vineland School District.  She holds BA and MA degrees in Reading/Language Arts from Rowan University in New Jersey.  Advanced graduate studies were completed at the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Connecticut, and the University of Vermont with certifications in Curriculum Development, Supervision, and Administration.

     Marie has presented nationally and throughout New Jersey on Literacy, Assessment, Leadership, Instructional Strategies, Achievement Gap Issues and Professional Evaluation Systems.

     She is currently a member of Leadership Council, the governing body of ASCD, and co-chairs ASCD Position Development.  She also serves on the Legislative Committee of ASCD contributing to the overall Legislative Agenda.  She has served as President of NJASCD and as Chair of the Professional Development Committee.   She is a past member of the ASCD Board of Directors.   

     In addition, she is the recipient of several educational awards the most recent of which are Outstanding Administrator Award by the Vineland Administrators and Supervisors Association, the Ernest Boyer Outstanding Educator Award by NJASCD, and was named the 2005 Cumberland County Administrator of the Year.
