• Presenter:  Carol Ann Tomlinson:   Differentiation and the Common Core:  What's the Connection?
Carol Ann's presentation didn't disappoint.  It appeared that each attendee came away with a renewed sense of focus, anxious to head back to class to put her ideas to work.   Carol Ann brilliantly and easily helped attendees to see that the Common Core standards provide teachers with both opportunity and challenges. Using her easy-going style, Carol Ann explained that differentiation provides a framework for thinking about a classroom in which the goal is maximum academic growth for each student and which recognizes the need for both shared and student-specific learning opportunities. The day was truly an inspiring one.
